BIO:

My name’s Skylar, and I guess you can say my parents named me well. You see, my name is derived from the Dutch surname meaning Scholar. So here I am, a budding musician(playing the piano, recorder and violin) who’s part of the Bee and who aspires to be a reporter for a day…and happily living up to my name! the word I would add to the dictionary is FLAWSOME but I have to double-check to make sure it hasn’t been added already. Travelling back in time is the kind of adventure I’d love to have, but a more realistic dream is to travel to Paris with my friends and have an epic girl’s trip. Rosa Parks is a historical icon I admire greatly for her quiet courage in the face of racism, and it’s the same type of courage I hope to emulate as I join the fight to end the pollution of our natural resources.
