There’s a song by Jodan Felix that starts with the refrain “Halle halle halle lu jah!” and this always puts a fire in my belly when I’m feeling down. Say what you will about Accra, it’s one of my favorite cities because the options for shopping are many and within driving distance. (Well, my mum drives. I’m her assistant) There was one time when the roles reversed – I was hospitalized and Mum was at my bedside. She was clearly exhausted and was dozing in intermittent spurts. So, I did what every good daughter would do: I recorded her sleeping and jerking awake. 😀 We had a good laugh about it and this reminds me; and believe you me, even when preparation work for the Bee gets tough, my mum and I always find something to smile about.
