BIO:
I guess you could say I’m super competitive: before joining the Bee, I’d taken part in five competitions including an interclass quiz, a debate, and an interclass spelling competition. So, when I saw the footage of the previous Bee finals, I knew that was the perfect fit for me. As part of preparing for the Bee, I enjoy watching general knowledge videos and learning the roots and origins of words. “Telecosmokinesafusée” is the word I’d create and it simply means traveling into space without a rocket or spaceship. (It has Greek and French roots) Have you heard of Lake Natron in Tanzania? It’s a lake with poisonous water that turns living organisms into stone-like structures – but somehow it has a large flamingo population. I’d love to visit it one day and write an award-winning essay about it.
